Blogs of Beauty

Every day when I get some computer time, I log onto blogger.com and browse through a great deal of blogs created by the most amazing women (and men) . I have been inspired and blessed by reading them. I used to be a stay at home mom and loved to create things using my PSP. But now, I have not done anything with it for so long, I’ve almost forgotten how to! Today when I got home from work, I was switching the laundry from washer to dryer and then came to the computer to have alittle relaxation time. Then I happened along a few of the usual blog stops and again! Felt blessed for reading. So I popped open my rusty PSP and made an award for a few of the blogs that I visit. I do hope that you will enjoy them and pass them on to ALL the blogs that you find beautiful. Now I can not choose one or two or even three, but every blog that I have been to, speaks to my heart. So If you Have a blog and read mine, YOU are welcome to the award that I Have made. If I have not had the opportunity to visit your blog, please invite me over! I would love to see how you are doing!

May God’s Blessings be with you today

Reader Challenge!

I want to challenge all of you to do something for your husband that you would not normally vollunteer doing! For example: my dear hubby wants me to come along on a hunting camping trip that he has been planning. Hunting is not my bag and i dont really enjoy going, but it will please him just to have me there with him so I will go and I WILL ENJOY my time with him doing so! Then (unless of course it is to private) ;) Post your well thought out plans and encourage someone else to do the same for their beloved. Let me know how it goes!

His Needs, Her Needs- Book Review

This is a wonderful book that really helped Steve and I. It took us about a year to completely go through the book together. We used it as a counciling tool for our marriage. it's author is Willard F. Harley, Jr. He has written other books on Marriage, including Love Busters and Five steps to Romantic Love. He has a great website at which offers practical solutions to almost any marital problem. I would incurage you to check that site out too!

Just a funny little story about when we were reading this book together. In the first part of the book the author talks about having a love bank. When we first read this, we discussed our own love banks and decided they were looking pretty sad. This really encouraged me to focus on building up my husband's love bank and he did the same for me. now days, if I do something that I really don't want to do, but do it becasue I know it will please my husband I will say *cha-ching!* as the love spills into his bank!

A Time To CLEAN

Today is the day to get back into cleaning and organizing my homeand I am starting in my closet! WOW is it a mess. My closet has been a catch all for storage.. things that I need to keep but dont know where to go with. (babybooks, first days of school, cards from babies and so on. I also have a dresser in there for Steve's clothes and 2 clothes rods. it is a nice sized closet, but has not been used to it's potential.

I bought some storage cubes ( wooden ) and stacked them in there along the longest wall and hope to be able to put some clothing in those. I have 2 dressers in my bedroom. One with a mirror and the other is a smaller old dresser that I would really like to get rid of..... hmmmmm, Maybe Steve can use that one in the shed??

We inherited an old office chair from Steve's great grandpa which has been occupying my closet for a couple of years now. (simply because we dont want the kids using it because it is in a fragile state.) I am hoping to add another shelf so I can store our camping stuff and christmas tree above the hanging clothes. Those have been sitting in my bedroom..... no wonder I never want company! My whole house is this disorganized. Looking around my earthly home makes me really look forward to the mansion that God is making for us. I can't wait to see the closets in there! :)

The picture posted above was taking right after I got the cubes together. I moved the dresser to the other wall. I plan to take another pic after I finish and will post that too! :)

as promised! Here are the after pics. It took me all day to get it the way I wanted it and now, it is something I can be proud off (and use again!) Now, On to the bedroom! I dont think I will post before pics of that, it's just to embarassing!
